Guided path
Set up your first reward loop
Create one attainable reward, make it redeemable, then follow the purchase into history.
This walkthrough adds a small positive loop after the first task: choose one reward, give it a reachable point price, and let the app record the redemption. It works in a Solo Workspace or a partnered relationship. A purchase records the choice in SubTasks; it does not replace the real-world follow-through that makes the reward meaningful.
Step 1 of 4
Create one attainable reward
Start with something the person spending the points actually wants and a price they can realistically reach.
Tasker
Open Shop → Rewards, open Reward actions, and choose New Reward. Enter a clear Title, an optional Description, and a Price (Points) that is already affordable or reachable after a few ordinary tasks. Choose Create Reward.
Taskee
Before it is saved, confirm that the reward is appealing, understood, and okay to claim. Check that the point price feels reachable rather than arbitrary.
Solo
Open Shop → Rewards, open Reward actions, and choose New Reward. Create something you genuinely want to earn, with a clear Title and a Price (Points) you can reach after a few ordinary tasks.

Step 2 of 4
Choose the redemption flow
Partnered relationships can control Taskee redemption; Solo owners redeem directly without partner permissions.
Tasker
Open Partners, choose the relationship settings, then find Taskee Permissions. Turn on Redeem Rewards if the Taskee should be able to choose Buy without waiting for the Tasker. Manage Rewards is a separate permission and is not required for redemption.
Taskee
Know which flow is active before earning toward the reward. With Redeem Rewards on, affordable cards show Buy. With it off, the Shop says redemption is Tasker-controlled and the action becomes Ask your Tasker.
Solo
Skip the permission setting. In a Solo Workspace, affordable rewards show Buy and you can redeem them directly.

Step 3 of 4
Check the balance and Shop
The Taskee or Solo owner compares the Points balance with the reward price before buying.
Tasker
Make sure the tasks that fund this reward award ordinary points. Normal point completions award immediately; validation-enabled completions award after approval. Avoid changing the target price after the Taskee starts earning without discussing it first.
Taskee
Open Shop → Rewards. Compare the Points card with the reward price. If an unaffordable reward is hidden, turn on Unaffordable to see it. An affordable reward shows Buy when redemption permission is on.
Solo
Complete point-awarding tasks, then open Shop → Rewards and compare the Points balance with the reward price. Turn on Unaffordable if you want to see rewards you cannot buy yet.

Step 4 of 4
Redeem and close the loop
Buying deducts points, records the purchase, and creates the reward delivery task.
Tasker
After the Taskee chooses Buy, SubTasks sends the Tasker a reward-purchased notification and creates a reward delivery task. Open Stats → Rewards → Redeemed to confirm the record, then follow through on the reward outside the purchase screen.
Taskee
Choose Buy on the agreed reward. Confirm that the Points balance drops and the success message appears. The purchase is the handoff, not proof that the real-world reward has already been delivered.
Solo
Choose Buy, confirm that the Points balance drops, then open Stats → Rewards → Redeemed. SubTasks creates the same reward delivery task but does not send a partner notification; complete the real-world reward on your own terms.

You’re done when
The reward purchase is recorded, the Points balance is reduced by its price, and a reward delivery task exists. In a partnered relationship the Tasker is notified; in Solo no partner notification is sent. SubTasks tracked the redemption, and the real-world follow-through is still yours.
